Fare Shop is a registered charity and must abide by the rules set by the Charity Commission:
It can only sell to customers who are in receipt of one or more state benefits, this includes state pensions.
- New customers need to complete a membership form
- Annual membership is £2
- Fare Shop offers basic food and household items at affordable prices
- The items on offer are donated by supermarkets and other suppliers and vary from day to day
- Food items are ‘ambient’ foods (no chilled or frozen foods), fruit and vegetables
- There is limited stock on offer
- Customers may select up to one basketful of goods and choose only 1 of each type of goods
- Customers need to bring their own shopping bag
- Please treat everyone with respect, abusive behaviour will not be tolerated
